The story of a fighter, probably the most impressive french woman with the most incredibly sad story. Simone Veil is the role model of so many women, and I have to admit that she is mine to, she beacme after reading her autobiography : "une vie". The first part of the book talks about her life as jew during the second world war. She spend time in the camp. And even after all of these ordeals she became one of the most political influant woman. All her life she helped people, she helped in the prison, with drugs addiction and she promulgate the Veil law : the right to abort in France in 1974.

Une vie" was written by Simone Veil, one ex-justice mister of France. It was published in 2007. It was one of the best sell in France in 2008. Une vie means "one life" in french ( a pretty good yet obvious title for an autobiography).

If you want to read more book about inspiring books about women, I recomand you to read "becoming" by Michelle Obama or "Milk and Honey" by Rupir Kaur which is a collection of poems about femininity, love and healing.

But if you want to read another book about deportation during the second world war, i recommand you reading the Anne Frank journal of course which is also kind of a autobiography
